See what a well-fitted front, hip, back, newborn, and toddler carry looks like, and check the positioning cues that matter most: a visible airway, chin off chest, and a supported, hip-healthy seat.

Educational guidance only, not medical advice. Always follow your carrier manufacturer's instructions and limits.

Hip-healthy positioning

Hip-Healthy Positioning

Pick a baby stage and a carrier type — we'll show what hip-healthy fit looks like at a glance.

Positioning checklist

  • Deep seat: knees higher than bottom (M-position)
  • Fabric reaches knee-to-knee, supporting thighs
  • Spine in a gentle natural curve, not forced straight
  • Head and neck supported (especially newborns)
  • Airway always visible — chin off chest
